Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art acknowledges it resides on the ancestral territory of the Osage, Kaw, and Otoe-Missouria, among other tribal nations forcibly moved to the region such as the Shawnee, Wyandot, Delaware, Potawatomi, Sac and Fox and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo) nations. We recognize and support the continued vibrancy of Native communities and cultures today who continue to thrive, as well as the inherent sovereignty of tribal nations. We are compelled to serve and advocate for these communities in accordance with our public mission.

Kemper Museum acknowledges and respects the diversity of Native people connected to this land today. Many recognize the land and all beings who live within it as relatives. We acknowledge the earth we inhabit, the waters of the Blue River, the Kansas River, the Missouri River, and the plants, animals, and people supported by them.

The museum is pleased to offer the 2019 Studio Editions by Dale Chihuly – Eucalyptus Macchia, Mandarin Orange Basket, Periwinkle Persian, and Flamingo Macchia. These hand-blown sculptures reference some of the best-known series by Chihuly, and they are made available each year as a way for Museum visitors to support the exhibitions and programs of Kemper Museum. Place your order by December 18 for guaranteed arrival by Christmas Eve. Based on availability.

This year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Chihuly Studio Editions, celebrating a remarkable history of collectible works that continue to be sought after by new and established collectors – a perfect way to celebrate Kemper Museum’s twenty-fifth anniversary year!

Vibrant and dynamic, the Studio Editions perpetuate Chihuly’s creative spirit with quintessential compositions that span his career. Each hand-blown Edition is signed by the artist and accompanied by an acrylic vitrine with a black base for display. Given the nature of hand-blown glass, these pieces will vary slightly in size, color, and shape.

The Museum Shop at Kemper Museum is the only place in Kansas City which offers the Chihuly Studio Editions. The 2019 editions are available for purchase in the Museum Shop and online.
