Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art acknowledges it resides on the ancestral territory of the Osage, Kaw, and Otoe-Missouria, among other tribal nations forcibly moved to the region such as the Shawnee, Wyandot, Delaware, Potawatomi, Sac and Fox and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo) nations. We recognize and support the continued vibrancy of Native communities and cultures today who continue to thrive, as well as the inherent sovereignty of tribal nations. We are compelled to serve and advocate for these communities in accordance with our public mission.

Kemper Museum acknowledges and respects the diversity of Native people connected to this land today. Many recognize the land and all beings who live within it as relatives. We acknowledge the earth we inhabit, the waters of the Blue River, the Kansas River, the Missouri River, and the plants, animals, and people supported by them.

Kemper Museum is located one block east from Main Street, with entrances on 45th Street and Warwick Boulevard.

Complimentary parking is available immediately surrounding the museum and in the marked lot located north of the museum at the corner of 44th Street and Warwick Boulevard. Accessible parking spaces are available in both locations. Bicycle racks are located in the northwest corner of the parking lot.

Kemper Museum is located near the Main MAX bus route. For more information, maps, and schedules, visit ridekc.org. Please excuse nearby construction for the major KC Streetcar Main Street Extension. We look forward to a streetcar stop opening near the museum in 2025!

While in the neighborhood, visitors might also enjoy the exploring the Kansas City Art Institute’s H&R Block Artspace and KCAI Gallery, the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, all located less than a mile away from Kemper Museum.
